The festival originated from the Buddhist tradition of commemorating Gautam Buddha’s first sermon to his first five disciples in Uttar Pradesh’s Sarnath. Gradually, Hindus and Jains also started observing this festival to pay respects to their teachers. This year, Guru Purnima is being celebrated today, on Wednesday, 13th July 2022.

On Guru Purnima, we celebrate the special bond between students and teachers. Teachers are the ones who motivate the students towards a better life. Through their guidance, the students know to differentiate between right and wrong. Teachers are the ultimate role models in a student’ life. On the occasion, here are a few messages to send your loved ones.
