On 6th October 2018, BTS became the first Korean band ever to perform at the home stadium of the New York Mets, the Citi Field Stadium in New York. They performed in front of a sell-out crowd of more than 40,000 fans and joined the select group of pop stars like Paul McCartney, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga to perform at this venue.
Tickets were sold out in 15 minutes after sales opened in August.
People of all races, nationalities and age groups sang along together with BTS in Korean throughout their three-hour concert. According to Forbes Magazine, with BTS in the picture, K-pop or Korean Pop music, which was earlier appreciated only locally in Asia, is going to become a lot bigger.
